Studies: Theodoros Chrysanidis is a Dr. Civil Engineer from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and a Postdoctoral Researcher from the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). He is a graduate Civil Engineer from the AUTH and holds three postgraduate degrees: (a) MSc “Seismic Design of Civil Engineering Projects” (AUTH), (b) MSc “Structural Steel Design and Business Management” (Imperial College of London) and (c) MSc “Environmental Design of Infrastructure Projects” (EAP). He also holds a Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence from ASPAITE.

Professional experience: He has over 20 years of professional experience in studies and supervision of technical projects (reinforced concrete, metal, load-bearing masonry, wooden structures), real estate valuations, energy inspections and construction evaluations, e.g. in matters of accessibility for disabled people. He has collaborated with technical companies and organizations, e.g. E.M.B.I.K. S.A., E.E.T.A.A. S.A., E.O.P.P.E.P., etc.

Research experience: He has more than 20 years of research experience in matters of reinforced concrete, earthquake engineering, structural dynamics, experimental measurements, applied engineering. He has participated in research programs and postdoctoral activities, with a significant number of publications in international scientific journals and conferences.

Academic experience: In 2025 he was elected Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy Systems of the School of Technology of the University of Thessaly.

Teaching Experience: He has many years of teaching experience (over 15 years) in various higher education institutions, including the University of Thessaly, Democritus University of Thrace, International Hellenic University, Hellenic Open University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Western Macedonia, T.E.I. of Thessaly, T.E.I. of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Alexandreio T.E.I. of Thessaloniki and others. He has taught a number of courses (over 30), including Structural Engineering I, II, Reinforced Concrete I, II, III, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Prestressed Concrete, Steel and Composite Structures, Special Chapters in Structural Engineering, Special Concrete Structures, Design of Anti-Seismic Structures, Mathematics I, II, etc. He has supervised a significant number of diploma and degree theses (over 50).

Publications: His scientific work includes dozens of publications in international scientific journals and conferences (international and national), as well as chapters in collective volumes (a total of more than 120 publications, including over 35 in international scientific journals). His work has a significant number of references in the international bibliography.
