It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Department of Energy Systems at the University of Thessaly. Since its establishment in 2019, our Department has been the first and only academic unit in Greece dedicated exclusively to the science and technology of energy.
We live in an era when energy lies at the heart of global challenges: climate change, the energy transition, security of supply, digital transformation, and sustainable development. In this context, our Department plays an active role in educating scientists who not only possess excellent technical expertise but also the ability to integrate knowledge, innovate, and act responsibly for the benefit of society and the environment.
